  Hi Ivor!
I went to your
Irish Guards Web Site last night, it looks so wonderful !
Thank you so very much for putting my dad's pictures and the information on there, that was very kind of you!
My kids were thrilled when they saw dad's picture on your site ! It means so
much to them, so much to all of us. My children and my husband Bill, never
had the chance to meet Albert, so all this history, and his old mates from
the war....etc, is really bringing his memory back to life for all of us,
and my brothers and sister too ! they're all so thrilled with this !
Thanks so much Ivor !
I asked Anita if she would be a guest here on my Battle Abbey Visitors page and this is what she told me . . . . . .Well, we live in New York, just moved here last year actually. My husband accepted a job with a radio station in Manhattan, so we moved here last July.
I was born and raised in Canada, in Ontario, just south of Toronto. I get home sick for my family and friends once in awhile, but I love New York. Even after all this happened on Sept 11th and with the plane crash in Queens last week, it's still a great place to live! We live right on the Hudson river, just about an hour north of Manhattan... so we take the train in to the city, and it's a beautiful train ride, all along the river. West Point military academy is right across from us.
I have  enclosed a few pictures, one of Bill and I at our wedding, and one of Maggie
(my one year old) and myself this past August here in our village.
So Ivor, that's a wee bit of history
Love from
