First day at School                                               Before the Summer Ball

 Dear Ivor,

Just wanted to let you know  that I think your website is wonderful.

I used to go to Battle Abbey as a pupil in the Seventies. I was reminded by the photographs that as Head of St. Mary's House I had gone to St. Mary's Church to ring the Bell,  and I also played Guitar in front of the Abbot's Hall fireplace.
I seem to remember sneaking out, and spending lots of time drinking coffee at the Pilgrim's Rest . . . .
I was also interested in your family's war history. My mother was in the ATS and I was looking for more information on Joyce, but nothing happened when I clicked on the photo . . .
(sorry Andrea, I am still working on that one ! )

It's too bad those kitchen gardens that sounded so wonderful where not there when I was. Maybe they should re-introduce them to the School for those interested in Horticultural pursuits.
                 Thanks for the great tour.

This site is for all those, who umpteen years later, are wondering what happened to everyone else?! There has got to be someone who remembers the fire-escape route from the attics?  Anyone remember the scratched hands and endless blackberry pies?
You do??  Then write us a message!
This site is also for anyone with an interest in or connection with Battle Abbey.

You will find a direct link to the above Site on my Biography and Links Page.
