Thinking of starting your own Family Tree, or need some help with one you have already started ?
First you have to gather the information from various sources and fortunately I have received a great deal of help from an expert in this field. My second cousin Caroline, also born and raised in Battle, is a professional family historian who specialises in researching families from the East Sussex area. She has a lot of genealogical information for East Sussex, particularly for the pre-1900s, and can undertake research for you at reasonable rates. If you have family links with this area and need help with your research, you can contact her at sussexfolk@yahoo.co.uk

There are several Family Tree programs which you can use to display your own personal Tree on your Personal Computer.  One such program is illustrated by a screen shot of my own Tree. If you type "Family Tree" into any Internet Search Engine you will find free trial versions of such software.
Some programs will allow you to include photographs, and some consist of text only.
My own Tree is, as yet, incomplete as I still have to find several American and Australian descendants, but with Caroline's help I am very optimistic.
